FALL BREAK

If you travel anywhere in the United States during October, know which states have a fall break.

This has come back to bite us two years in a row now. The first time was last fall when we traveled through Utah, and the second was in Tennessee.

The weeks are staggered, and they don’t all fall at the same time, but it definitely makes a difference in your area. Accommodations will be full, restaurants will be crowded, venues will have an overflow, and parking will be hard to come by.

Not every state does this, so I was taken aback by it all. Growing up, we didn’t have this luxury. We never had a fall break in October. Our first decent break came in November during Thanksgiving.
